There's no Carpenter on the image, because the management does not allow pictures of him. Strange stuff.

There’s no Carpenter on the image, because the management did not allow us to take photos of him. For real.

Since several years Cameron Carpenter holds the reputation of the most innovative organ player in the world. With his own constructed electric organ he travels continuously around the globe and forces the spectators to rethink the tradition of this “mother of all instruments” basically.

His technical and musical ability is of highest level, what permits him to follow his intuitions without any serious concern about criticism on his way of discovery.

The concert last night was in a way the demonstration of the purest talent in sense of concluding ability, vision and sense for the listener’s taste.

Where did the carpenter go? Into the woods.

Where did the carpenter go? Into the woods.

The program was a mix of own improvisations, a lot of beautiful Bach, some french music to discover and a quite risky arrangement of a Wagner Ouverture. It worked perfectly. Towards the end one could lean back in his seat, wondering about how human beings could be able to build such a beautiful concert hall, and hope that the extremely well made electrical registers of his spacey Organ would not let oneself transcend to anywhere.

Thanks a lot to all who made that evening possible!
